Niki Garrette I'm obviously in the huge minority but I don't really care about "connecting" with people, friends or not. I like that I can read articles, learn new things and stay up to date on things I'm interested in. That's what I use Facebook for. An option to keep things the same would be nice for those of us who aren't into the social part of social media.

Christine Campbell Górczyk Can you just allow us to have our own lists and groups ourselves? Let us manage our own interactions, posts we see and all that? I would love it if you would return that control to the user instead of Facebook coding you develop.

Melissa Stewart Amos So initially you didn’t want to sell out the Facebook experience by selling ads. Then you sell ads, clutter up fb, make bank & now decide to get back to basics by cutting down on ads & frivolous info, all while keeping the bank you made & looking like a hero. You’re a smart fella.

I have reported a woman threatening suicide in addition to people threatening death and abhorrent racial comments only to be told it didn’t go against facebooks policies 🤷🏽‍♀️ sickening! Cary Bowman Don't forget that in most of the world, local businesses ARE our community, our neighbors, and our friends. Facebook once connected us to our local communities in a new and exciting way, but then the small business got pushed out by big brand spend - I hope you don't forget the significance and enjoyment that will be lost if neighborhoods become disconnected as a result.

Patricia Dixon The changes have currently been drowning my feed with group posts. I don't want to unhook the groups- a balance of news, brands I like, friends and groups is ideal. That's why we join groups, like brands and follow news while connected to friends. It's ALL about the balance. ( which comes down to an algorithm of course). I don't want my brands to disappear from my feed. Really.

Facebook algorithm was perfect back in the days, where you could reach your fans without having to boost (thus putting your ad on non-fan people feed, which is what everyone's complaining about).

Katie Evans Have the recent disasters in California shown you nothing? If you make these changes to first-responder pages, you are essentially helping to set them up for failure when key notifications about crises need to be shared. So disappointed that these broad brush strokes of “change” will negatively impact organizations that rely on your product to share information. Maybe it’s time for a change on that front too.

In reality this is criminal because people have spent millions upon millions of dollars to build their pages/brands now Facebook for them is like a money machine if you have the money you are in the game otherwise you are out!

In turn, the advertisers demand attention from your users. The more engagement you get from users, the bigger your bank balance. So, don't be giving out crap about how facebook will bring people closer together. It's all about advertising and nothing else.

So, FB does the minimum that is required by law and shirks its duties, and now here you are talking big and lofty things. At least make that tool available to everybody, on every platform, and advertise it.
